Serenity in Polymer Clay

We introduce a new artist: Meisha Barbee, who works in polymer clay, an acrylic modeling compound. The colors and patterns you see in her work are achieved using the millefiori technique, in which various colors of clay are stacked, rolled and otherwise manipulated into canes of pattern that are then sliced and combined into her finished designs. The pieces are baked at lower temperatures than traditional clay, with a finish which is matte and smooth. In her Serenity series of pendants, the effect is at once exciting and harmonious.
